JOB: Bilingual (English / French) Development manager

La Chouette compagnie is looking for a bilingual development manager to join and strengthen its development team this fall. COMPANY DESCRIPTION Founded in 2015, la chouette develops and produces animation series for the French and international market. Its catalog already includes nearly 100 half-hours of animation produced for TF1, Disney, M6, Youtube, or Canal J and intended for a youth and a family audience. In 2021, la chouette is producing three new series: Imago for TF1 and Canal J, Azuro & the dragon squad for TF1 and Droners Season 2 for TF1, Disney and WDR. The company is also developing Taki Tanuki for France Télévisions and L’Epopée Temporelle with Adultswim.

JOB DESCRIPTION Under the responsibility of the producers of La Chouette, the development manager carries out the following missions: - Participation in the development of animation series, TV units and live series for the international market, - Follow-up of projects already launched in co-production with North American players, - Preparation and participation in meetings with authors, producers and international platforms: creation of pitch decks by project, editorial and artistic follow-up, translation of working notes (from French to English), - Participation in international fairs and markets.

REQUIRED SKILLS - One year of minimum experience in the same position (in animation or live-action), - Perfectly bilingual, ideally native American, - Good knowledge of the audiovisual industry, in France and internationally (series addict appreciated!) - Great sense of organization, - Excellent writing skills, mainly in English, - Mastery of professional writing and presentation tools (final draft, powerpoint, Indesign ...) - Personal skills: sense of initiative, flexibility, adaptation.
